On a hilltop in Elbert County, Georgia, stands a monument to occultism, genocide, eugenics, and the so-called, “New World Order”. Erected in 1980, the Georgia Guidestones serve as another testimony that the Satanic philosophy of “the Age of Reason” did not die with Thomas Paine. The new age commandments placed on giant tablets in eight living languages include, “Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature”, “Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity”, and “Unite humanity with a living, new language”. They go on to call for the ruling of faith “with tempered reason”, the establishment of a “world court” to resolve disputes among nations, and a pledge that man does not become a “cancer” on the earth. These Guidestones sound like a relic from 1940’s Nazi Germany or, perhaps, Communist China but they stand right here, in the land of the free, as an ode to totalitarian ideology. It is still unknown who funded and ordered the construction of the Guidestones.
Nimrod also tried uniting the world under despotic principles at the plain of Shinar, but his plans were foiled when the Lord confused language and forced humanity to scatter over all the face of the earth (Gen. 10:8 – 12; 11:1 – 8). Nevertheless, mankind will unite again in a terrible age to come. Supernatural beings will mix with “the seed of men” to create a demonic super-race, seeking to subjugate humanity (Dan. 2:43; Rev. 9:1 – 12). Their leader, Antichrist, will ascend “out of the Abyss” to kill millions but will, himself, be brought down to destruction by the power of Christ (Rev. 17:8; 19:17 – 21). It is difficult for us to understand exactly what that time will be like, but it is enough to know that it will be a terrible period for everyone alive on the earth. As we see the Georgia Guidestones and similar manifestos to totalitarianism, and as we hear totalitarian ideology from the lips of socialists today, we know that the Lord is near.
You may have seen in the news that former Democratic Presidential Candidate, Beto O’Rourke, publicly called for the persecution of churches that refuse to perform and condone same sex “marriages”. He sought to accomplish that tyrannical agenda by removing the tax-exempt status of churches and any religious institutions that will not comply with government-mandated beliefs. Few are anticipating the widespread acceptance or implementation of such an anti-American, anti-freedom policy. However, we must note that the legalization of homosexual “marriage” was just as unthinkable in any country just a few decades ago. Oh, how times change when a new “doctrine of demons” is introduced by Satan’s agents of godlessness! We are sad to see a world more wicked than ever before, but we are also more hopeful, because all signs point to the soon return of Jesus. Come, Lord! – MAH
