Somehow, many of us tend to forget about the loving compassion of our Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. While we complain about some things we are dealing with in life, we still have family and friends, we enjoy delicious food, we wear warm and comfortable clothing, we live in a heated/air-conditioned home with plenty of things that make life more enjoyable.
Many of us also enjoy good health, and we live in safety and security because of protection by trained law enforcement personnel. We enjoy the care and leadership of church shepherds who love us and the Lord. There is so much to prove God’s kindness to us – but we often forget!
Of course, we can also forget Jesus and what he did on the cross for us. This is the most loving and gracious gift that God has ever given! This is why Paul told young Timothy, “Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the descendant of David” (2 Tim. 2:8).
No matter what you think you are lacking in life, do not forget that “he gives more grace” (Jas. 4:6). He is always “faithful” (1 Cor. 1:9). “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us” (Psa. 67:1). His kindness is truly unlimited! – MAH
